The first rule of Femme Cabal Book Club:

TALK ABOUT FEMME CABAL BOOK CLUB.

The second rule of Femme Cabal Book Club:

TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT FEMME CABAL BOOK CLUB.

Femme Cabal presents our online Book Club! Find us at https://www.facebook.com/groups/femmecabalbookclub

We are currently reading and discussing "I'm Afraid of Men" by Vivek Shraya.

You can find it online via locally owned bookstore Glass Bookshop. Note: It costs only an additional $0.33 to buy this book locally instead of on a big corporation's website, and Glass Bookshop is currently offering FREE delivery in Edmonton, and shipping available across Canada. So shop local and support our own community!

We will discuss the book and its themes via the Facebook group, and how those themes relate to feminism. BUT, let's be honest here: this is just for fun. We won't get too scholarly about it.

What do you need to do to join Femme Cabal book club?

#1: Read the book.
#2: Join the Facebook group.

#3. Participate in conversation.

Tell your friends!

EVERYONE IS WELCOME.

Femme Cabal is proud to announce that we have partnered with Books on the LRT!

This local grassroots project drops books on the LRT, on ETS buses, and in surrounding areas for Edmontonians to take, read, and return for others to enjoy. The goal of Books on the LRT is to promote a love of reading and to make the experience on public transportation more engaged, friendly, and enjoyable.

Femme Cabal will be donating each book that we choose for our book club selection to Books on the LRT. We encourage our book club members to donate their books to this awesome cause. You can drop off your book (any books you want to donate!) at Barking Buffalo Cafe. Just let the barista know that you're there to donate to Books on the LRT via Femme Cabal! We will attach our sticker to the book and we'll take care of the drop off on the LRT!
